About Us

Glorious Way Church equips believers for the work of the ministry and stands for God’s truth in our culture. We serve as a regional center, where people from all backgrounds find refreshing worship and true communion of the saints.

Before founding Glorious Way Church, Pastor John Greiner was a Houston homebuilder for 25 years. You might say he knows the importance of solid foundations. He believes the process of building people works the same way, except our foundation is God's Word.

Pastor John knows the Word works in the “real world” because he’s experienced it. He can help you do the same.

John’s late father in the faith is Pastor John Osteen, the founder of a worldwide ministry still making its mark today. He ordained John in 1988 and covered him as he planted the church in 1995 and beyond. Pastor Osteen always taught John to trust God and dream big, concepts that still guide us here. After all, we are children of the Most High God.

Besides serving up the Word, you’ll often find Pastor John leading worship during the services. You’ll also catch him praying, prophesying and filling in the church on the latest news from a Biblical perspective. God told him to wake up the Church and help believers regain their place of authority. That’s what we’re about here.

Raised a Catholic, John married Gladys, a Baptist, in 1968. Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1980, at the age of 33, changed his life and united their marriage.  Now, the couple's adult daughter and son and their families serve in the ministry. Pastor John has built his family on the unchanging Word of God. He wants your family to be unshakable, too.

Since only the Holy Spirit can make truth really come alive to us, we give Him time and freedom during each service. We’re a spirit-filled church like the Apostle Paul describes in
I Corinthians 12-14. Out of this flow, you can receive immediate help for life’s challenges at our altar. Long term, you’ll grow here by learning God’s Word and how to apply it in your life as you serve the Lord in a rich community of faith.

We also do our part to carry the Gospel to the world, in both word and deed, as Jesus commanded (Acts 1:8). We do this through partnerships with vibrant, field-based ministries who offer both spiritual and practical help to their areas. Here in the Houston Metropolitan area, we serve as a regional center, a place where people find refreshing worship and true communion of the saints. Our role is to equip believers for the work of the ministry and stand in our culture as the “pillar and ground of the Truth” (I Tim. 3:15).

The Bible is alive, and its prophecy is being played out in politics and current events every day. WARNING: we speak out and pray on sensitive issues during most every service. In all human conflicts, GOD HAS A SIDE, and it’s our job to find it and stand firmly with Him. This means facing topics like local politics, national legislation, foreign policy and even elections. Stand with us as we support God’s righteousness at work around the world.

• One holy, loving God exists in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• Jesus, the Son, died, was buried, and rose again as the only sacrifice for our sin.
• Heaven and Hell really exist, and we’ll all spend eternity in one of them.
• God wants us all to choose Heaven. We get there not by our own good works but by accepting Jesus’ sacrifice and being born again.
• Divine health, prosperity and peace are God’s perfect plan for everyone.
• He wants to equip every believer with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
• Speaking in tongues is the physical evidence that you’ve received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
• The Bible is God’s Word, and it’s always true.
• God still works miracles today.
