GWKids Summer Camp 2025

The GWKids Team and I are thrilled to announce that our kids will be headed back  to Camp Lone Star in Tomball, TX for a 3-day, 2-night Summer Camp packed with God's Word, His presence, life-long memories, new friendships, and loads of fun.

All services and activities are hosted by our team and partnering churches. With the exciting space theme, "Not of this World", children will learn about how God created them to be set apart for His glory. They'll be given the right tools to launch into the special mission God has in store for them by allowing Him to transform their lives.

One touch from God in His presence can change your child for eternity and set them on a path to fulfill His highest call on their lives. Kids came back each year with powerful testimonies, and we desire that all of our kids have the opportunity to be a part of these life-changing days. Please pray about signing your child(ren) up.

Love in Jesus,

Allison Greiner
GWKids Summer Camp Director

Testimonies From Campers
GWKids Summer Camp 2024

"During praise and worship and prayer time, I could feel God's arms around me giving me a hug. It was so sweet and brought tears to my eyes." Another child said, "What I received at camp was the Holy Ghost. I felt something in my body that touched me, and it was God. Camp changed me, and I was very blessed to be a part."

"I learned that I am God's Masterpiece, and nobody can take that away from me!" Another child said, "I also received answered prayers on things I had been believing God about for a long time."

"Originally, I was afraid to do a lot of the big activities, but all my friends at camp were encouraging me. God spoke to me and said that even though something might look scary, He has given me the boldness to do it. Because I was encouraged, I did all the activities and had so much fun!"

Testimonies From Volunteers
GWKids Summer Camp 2024

"It changed me seeing the kids praise God with all that they had. Some of them were kneeling on the ground worshiping with their eyes closed for such a long time, surrendering all to God. It was a reminder to us as adults to not be concerned with what others are thinking but to just worship God freely from our hearts."

"During worship time, I knelt down beside one of the girls and told her how much the Lord loved her and how special she was. She began to tear up, and since that encouraging word, she began to enter in and received all God had for her. This camp was so valuable for our kids."

"One of the kids in my group received revelation on who she is in Christ after hearing negative words and lies from people at school. She left camp set free. These kids at such a young age need this."

Frequently Asked Questions

When/Where & Who

GWKids Camp is a 3 day, 2-night camp full of anointed ministry, worship, small group devotions, puppets, crafts, games, and fun activities. All service times are hosted by GWC staff and volunteers. Select activities will be provided by the Camp Lone Star Staff. The vision of Kids Camp is to provide an atmosphere for children in grades 1st-5th to experience the power of God, connect with Jesus through worship, and build life-long friendships. These days are set aside to seek God, morning and night, and to learn how to have a personal relationship with Him.

The content, teaching, and activities of this camp are geared towards Elementary-aged children. 1st graders must be 7 years old by the Camp date in order to attend. If your child does not meet the age requirement, we invite them to join us July 10-11th at Glorious Way Church for Littles Camp taking place from 10am-2pm. View our website fro more information.

General Questions

If they’re showing interest in attending, asking more questions about what they’re learning in Children’s Church, eager to try something new, and are becoming more independent in everyday tasks, that’s a good sign that they’re ready. If your child is staying overnight and a parent is not staying with them, they must be independent in night/morning-time hygiene routines in order to attend. GWC Camp Counselors cannot assist in those things.

Yes! Although getting to stay overnight in cabins helps them get the full camp experience, just coming for the day is available. We understand that staying overnight away from home may be a huge step, especially for our K-1st graders, which is why we offered this option. Parents are welcome to drop their child off at the start of each Camp day and pick them back up after the evening Camp session. If they’re just coming for the day, the price is $70 per day for each attendee, and we encourage them to come to all 3 days if possible. There’s an option on the online form to select the day option if that works best for your child.

GWC is not providing transportation this year because Camp is so close by. If someone other than the parent/guardian is dropping off or picking your child up, please make note of that on the online registration form.

Camp Lone Star offers 3 separate lodging facilities on campus: 2 bunkrooms and “The Lodge.” Our group will utilize both bunk rooms: 1 for girls and 1 for boys. Each bunk room holds about 20 people each. “The Lodge” is filled with 24 hotel-style rooms meant for any extra Camp Counselors or parents wanting to stay overnight with their child (if requested).

You will have the opportunity to provide information about medication and allergies when you sign your student up for Camp. The Camp nurse will oversee medication distribution and treatment of environmental allergies. The Camp Director and Camp Nurse  will be provided with information about food allergies and will ensure that all meals provided are allergy free. If your child needs to bring special food to Camp, reach out to An updated medical release/allergy form will be sent out when Camp is closer in case there are any updates.

We do not anticipate illness or injury- Amen! Should there be an issue, we need written permission to administer medication and/or take your child to see a doctor. This is included on the Registration Form. If the illness is contagious or very serious, you may be required to arrange travel home for your child.

We do not anticipate any issues with our great group of kids! However, if issues arise, they will be pulled aside and talked with. If there is a chronic issue with behavior, the camper will forfeit future overnight trips with GWKids. If behavior becomes very serious, they will be sent home at the parent’s expense.

Children are not allowed to bring phones and other electronics to camp. We believe this is for the best. It will allow a distraction-free week to experience the presence of God. If a cell phone or other electronic device is brought to camp, it will be confiscated and returned to the parent upon arrival. If there is an emergency, GWC Staff’s phones will be available at all times.

We don't encourage parents to attend camp with their kids unless volunteering. However, we understand there might be circumstances where this is necessary. If you're a parent interested in attending (NOT as a volunteer), email , and we will give you more information. All adults attending will be required to complete a background check and Ministry Safe Course before attending. Adult camper pricing is the same as a child camper ($300). Volunteers pay $100 fee to attend, & GWC picks up the rest of their cost.

If interested in volunteering, please fill out the interest form towards the bottom of this page. More info is in that form.
