*Baptism class at 9am in Room 101. This class is for all participants interested in being baptized.

Why get water baptized? Baptism is a great picture of our new life in Jesus, and in fact, He commanded us to be baptized. Though the rite itself does not save us, it does prove our salvation since it shows our willingness to obey Him. Baptism check-in is at 9am, and baptism takes place during the 10am service.

Water Baptism Class
Has your child or teen expressed interest in getting water baptized? Did they just get saved recently and want to learn more about it? Or, are you as an adult interested in Water Baptism?

Join us before the AM service at 9am for a fun, informational meeting about baptism. This meeting will take place in Room 101. This class is geared towards anyone interested in Water Baptism. We'll discuss what Water Baptism is, why it's important, why you should get water baptized, resources for parents to know if their child is ready or not, & go over a few logistics.

Quick Tips:

  • Come dressed in the clothes in which you'll be baptized (a black GWC "Raised to Life" shirt will be provided for you).

  • Please wear dark, loose fitting clothing that's opaque when wet. 

  • Please arrive at 9am to checkin, receive group instructions, & attend our Baptism class. 

What to bring:

  • A complete change of clothes

  • A towel

  • A plastic bag for wet clothes

  • Any toiletries or styling tools to use in the dressing area

 

After Checking in and attending our 9am Baptism Class:

  • Once the Baptism class is complete (around 9:40am), you'll be greeted by a Life Team member and will take a brief tour of the dressing area before the service begins. 

  • You will be led in a prayer of salvation if you have not yet received Jesus as Lord. The baptismal pool is warm. 

  • If desired, you may receive personal ministry or prayer after baptism. 

  • Pastor Jay Greiner will instruct you when it is time to line up. At that time, you will bring your change of clothes with you. Volunteers will place your belongings near the dressing room and guide you where to walk. The tub is warm. Afterward, you will have a chance to receive personal ministry and prayer.

  • Baptism certificates with a photo will be available in the Lobby the following week. After baptism, we invite you to stay and enjoy the rest of the service.
