Parents of G-Force students (2nd-5th grade) and Jr. High parents (6th-8th grade), we invite you to join us on March 29 for Family Communion Sunday. Beginning this year, Family Communion will take place every 5th Sunday during the AM service.
Here are some important reasons for why we want our kids to experience Communion:
- Communion is one of our foundational beliefs from the Word of God.
- It's a sacred time of remembering the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
- The word "Communion" in the Greek means "fellowship." In the New Testament, the Hebrew word for "Communion" is "Covenant."
- As we partake together as a church body, not only is it an act of worship, but it's a fellowship together as His body of believers.
It's up to you as the parent to decide whether or not your child should participate in Communion and to see if they're ready. There is no pressure for them to partake, but we want to give you enough information to make that decision.
During Family Communion, we encourage kids to sit with their parents and have electronic devices put away so they can receive.
