Attending Glorious Way Church
A How-To Guide
May, 2020

Service Time: 10:00 AM

Each of you brings power with you when you come, and the power of our corporate worship builds a wonderful throne for Almighty God among us. The Texas Governor’s April 27 order has recognized the discretion of churches to hold services as they see fit according to the data in their localities. We see that the virus risk in Harris County remains low while hospital vacancy remains high, so we choose to make the crucial benefits of corporate worship available to as many as possible during this time.

That said, here are some guidelines that help the most people feel comfortable in our building:

    • Consider watching church online if you feel ill or have a fever, cough or shortness of breath or if you are at high risk of exposure through your travel or job.
    • Children and Youth: We’re happy to announce the full Sunday Morning re-opening of our optional Children’s Ministry as of May 31. . If you’re not checking your children into a class, please keep them within arm’s reach of you throughout the service.  Junior High Classes and Youth Worship Services remain open.
    • Utilize available hand sanitizer (provided) upon entry and exit.
    • Do not touch door handles or other public surfaces. (Doors will be propped open all the way in.)
    • Bring your own Bible.
    • Respect the option of worshippers to maintain a full six-foot distance from others in all common spaces.
    • Upon entering the sanctuary, you’ll be asked your distancing preference. Option 1: Little or no distancing is fine. Option 2: Full 6-foot distance, please. These options allow us to accommodate more of you as you ease back into church attendance.
    • Family groups choosing little or no distance will be seated in one of our middle three sections. Here, row spacing is a little closer than 6 feet, and there’s just a seat or two (2-4 feet) between family groups.
    • Family groups choosing the full six-foot option will be seated in the wing and neighboring sections (more than half the area of our sanctuary). We will continue to seat family groups 6 feet apart (three seats) in these sections.
